Country Music Songwriter, Sara Smith, is offering you a special invitation to listen to her country music songs written in the traditional country genre. Some of the top country songs sung by Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift and Jamie Johnson are in the New Country Music style, so I’m changing my way of writing my country music lyrics to the new country style. Pour yourself a cup of coffee, sit down and relax while you listen to songs you’ve never heard before.
My ideas for country song lyrics come from thoughts based on everyday living and memories, such as, places I travel, things I see, people I talk to, friends, singers at karaoke and clubs that I visit.

A little about me…

My First Experience with music

When I was about six years old, I went to church with one of the little classmates I met in first grade. It was an experience I’ll never forget. When the organ started to play I sat there quiet as a mouse and was just thrilled with what I heard. I was so enthralled with the music and the singing of the hymns that I asked my Mother if I could go every Sunday. This was not the church Mom and Dad attended but she agreed. She said “Going to church never hurt anyone, no matter which one it is,” The church was in walking distance from my home so there was no problem to get there.
Even when my little friend didn’t go I would go to that church and listen to the music and learned the words to many of the hymns that were sung there.
After many years I am still thrilled at the great sound of a church organ and love to hear those great old hymns.

I have more songs available for artists and/or publishers in the Traditional Country, New Country and Contemporary Christian style of music featuring male and female vocalists. I will be adding more songs in the future.
