Are country folks really better than urban city people as the country music songs tend to imply?

I have heard all these country songs with lyrics about where they come from, about your word being as good as gold, doing you free car repairs becuase I have been in that situation before and understand your hardship, and oh don’t forget God, and that old church that we went to every Sunday in that town where I come from, where I want to see my children raised. So do country folks really have better values than city people?

I live in a small town in Kentucky and I don’t feel people here are better than people in New York or Chicago. There are good and bad people in every city so the opinion one city has better values or people to me is a crock
