Will country music ever have meaningful lyrics ever again?

well, mainstream country anyway

It’s funny, I saw a movie "standard operating procedure" where they would play music and drive prisoners crazy to get intel, and guess what music genre made em’ talk? that new country crap

p.s. I love real country music
I have been waiting for country music to bouce back out of this phase since the mid 90’s, face it, it is over. Country is now pop and taylor swift is its madonna.
chicken fried, lol what a joke, thats a good song to get your salad tossed in prison with.
I’ll admit I like greorge straits’ troubadour and a gary allen or clay walker song evry once in a while. But I’m really busy listening to cory morrow, randy rogers, cross canadian ragweed and steve earle to get into fried chicken and chicken nugget songs or any atkins singers ever.

No, as long as today’s crap is selling they’re not going to bother making country better.

    I love real country too.
